Grace Claypool is a Nashville based, multidisciplinary artist. Through the use of bright, colorful, and unique materials; she mixes found objects into sculptures. Grace uses repetition of elements to push visuals in her work. In addition to finding inspiration in contemporary artists, The Memphis Group and mid-century modern design fuel her style. She hopes that viewers feel a sense of whimsy through the craftsmanship of her work.
Grace is currently getting her BFA at Lipscomb University. She is also the director of Open Gallery, a Lipscomb student-run gallery space. As a native of Nashville, Grace hopes to bring her fresh perspective into the growing art community of the city she calls home.
